Brave is doing quiet well today. He eats, he holds his head up momentarily and he is awesome in boots. We hit a new diaper usage record today at 13. That's a lot of poop.
Kids are a Joy and a Pleasure, but it seems with every extremely good thing in life, and inherent not so good thing comes with it. Maybe we need frustration and failures in our life to help us recognize success and happiness. Either way, I am certain that no matter how good someone could have it on earth, that something or someone would stand opposed to even the most fortunate person and make them go completely bonkers. Well today, we had one of those days. I will spare the details for our faint of heart or weak stomached readers and describe the situation created by our oldest son and middle daughter an absolute mess. The mess was the equivalent to a melting down reactor. A containment vessel was in place, and if everything would have gone as it should, the mess would have been bad, but not unmanageable. Unfortunately, we had a breach in the containment vessel, and a large area was contaminated.. ..metaphorically speaking. It is times like this as a parent when memories of your parents saying, "one day when you grow up, your going to have a kid who is just like you." become crystal clear. Enough rambling, at the end of the day, the disaster was contained, and we are back to enjoying the kids again.
