Day: 31 Rewards Part 2

All babies are different. (I Know....Hello Captain Obvious!) Out of the Billions of babies born, no two parents have experienced the same Hi's and Low's that are related to raising children, but regardless the genetic and situational differences, all parents have plenty of similarities to gather around and compare notes about. All of our children have been very different and Brave is nothing like the other 2. He grunts when he has to poop, Strong never did that because he was always eating when it was time to go, and Brighton was screaming at 89db all the time for the first seven months so the only way to tell if anything happened was to check manually.

Part 2 of My new rewards system for Strong:

10 fake dollars gives a kid 10 get out jail free cards through out a day. Today we realized that some things needed to have a heftier toll and also that having an opportunity to get dollars back is also a neat way to get the kids to be consciously thinking about being helpful. The ability to earn lost dollars back gives the kids a way to learn some initiative. Strong made it through the day and lost 14 dollars of 10, but he did 5 nice things that where not required, like getting his sister a drink while she was eating and cleaning up the kitchen after I knocked over the treasure chest. The crib wall came down with just 1 dollar remaining at cash in time.

I will compile the system into a readable format once we work the bugs out.
Bug#1-paper money is ruined once it gets wet, use poker chips or real dollars if your not to concerned about potentially loosing 10 dollars a day.
Bug#2 - Younger siblings create a challenge because the want the money, yet they don't understand the system.
Bug/Perk#3 - The dollars have to be kept up with all day. If the child does not have the currency on them at the moment of infraction, a more primitive form of punishment can be applied as interest until the currency is found. This creates much motivation to keep track of important items.
